Can a red/green colorblind mother give birth to a son that will not be red/green colorblind?

I’ve always thought that since red/green colorblindness was an error on the X-gene, and a woman needed the error on BOTH her X genes to be colorblind. Her son would get his Y-gene from his father and X-gene from his mother. And then his X-gene would have the red/green colorblindness, therefore he HAS to be colorblind. Is this incorrect?

A red/green color blind (rgcb) mother CANNOT give birth to a normal son.

For the mother to be rgcb, both of her “X” chromosomes must be defective and in meiosis, all of her eggs will be defective. The father’s “Y” chromosome has no allele to code for normal vision and, therefore, all sons will have X(defect)Y genotype and all sons will be rgcb.

If the father is of normal vision, all daughters will have normal vision as all daughters would get a normal “X” from the father.
