I will start working as a hostess in a fine dining restaurant (help)?
I got the job and they told me to start working this tuesday , he told me to dress nicely because is a fine dining restaurant and elegant people go there to eat .
The hostess that I saw working that day looked elegant . she was dressing a leather skirt and a linen blouse with black dress socks .
I have never worked in a fine dining restaurant , I only worked at a casual italian restaurant . So now I don’t know what would be appropriate for me to wear and where to buy those clothing ???
I live in nyc what store will be nice for buying those kind of clothes … I was thinking Zara or forever21 because I can’t afford an expensive one!!
Btw they are going to pay 12 per hour is that ok ??
I think $12 to start for a hostess in a restaurant is really good, but I don’t live in NYC anymore either.
Yes, Forever 21 would be ok, if that’s what’s affordable for you. Just choose wisely, and don’t go for too trendy clothes.
Try Lord and Taylor sales racks (are they still in NYC? they’ve closed here in St Louis now) because they all but give away stuff from previous seasons. When I dressed up for work, that’s where I went.
