Is the word Gypsy a rasist slur?

I want to open a online store, selling garage sell finds, antiques and other random stuffs.
The name I would like is- the gypsys pinwheel
Is that a rasist slur? I think it would be a nifty name… just dont want to offend anyone lol what do you think?

technically back in the old days the word Gypsy was a bad word to call people, people believed that “gypsys” were bad people, which in most case they weren’t. the word gypsy come from the word egyptian, because people believed the Romani, or gypsies were from there, which isn’t true, in the general since, i don’t know how many people actually know that fact/are Romani now a days so I think it would be ok, i mean Halloween stores sell costumes with the word Gypsy on it so i think it would be ok.
