Have they found the genes of the old inhabitants of the Balkans?

Is there a secure method of distinguishing the genes of Hellenes, Thracians, Macedonians, Ilyrians, Paionians, Dardanians and Slavs? Is it possible at all to find out that a certain people of today has its roots in one or more people(s) of the antique period? Is there a serious Institute that has been investigating this problem?

This is not so much a problem as it is an area of research. The E-M78 clade is very common among Europeans, and the E1b1b1a2 (E-V13) sub-clade has a very high density in the Balkans. especially among Albanians, Bulgarians, Greeks, Macedonians, Romanians, and Serbs.
